Individual perks on a character and their main ability gain xp from playing them in a game. This stays on them if you respec.
First character I worked on was Ana, got her up to 10 quickly, and then ever since that, i've barely gotten anything for anyone
you get perk point when you level up your account level . so yeah the first character youll get it at level 10 pretty fast then its 5 per level. so account level 20 for another level 10.
XP often just doesn't feel fair or well proportioned right now. Most interactive aka interesting and fun gameplay is not getting rewarded. Same on victim side as well: save ally, escape from house, clear a dozen noisemakers, disable gen 2x, escape as last survivor = ~1500... ie the same for running upstairs and dying instantly. idgi guys.)
