Voice Chat AND Text Chat Not Working

Have no idea why, but I got the game an hour ago and I literally just can't interact with anyone. I can hear everyone else fine but my mic doesn't work, and when I type in chat "why doesn't my mic work??? I'm losing my marbles!!!" it gets tossed out into the void and the message doesn't show up for anyone.

It's like I'm already banned somehow lmao. If I am banned, I might be the current world record holder for quickest ban in this game which is kinda badass.

I made a post about this already lol. I also wrote a ticket into support about this and haven't gotten a response yet. It gives me some relief knowing others are experiencing this as well but holy ♥♥♥♥ that's terrible, especially since it works for Xbox and Playstation player's and even worse I can hear them talk in game when we crossplay but they can't hear me. :<

We went from F13's not being able to mute anyone to this game's let's just make everyone mute! lol.

text chat doesnt work if you click it for some weird reason. you have to actually hit 't' on your keyboard then type

My bad I haven't used a steam forum in like a decade. I'm also glad it isn't just me. I was troubleshooting for over an hour but I'll stop and wait I guess.

if you have a VPN i got mine working finally by just killing my VPN. The split tunneling seems to make no diff, it doesn't like it.

when this game was in beta the only way i could get my VC to work was i had to uninstall and reinstall, which i just did that so hopefully next time i open the game it'll be fixed. i really hope if it's not fixed that they can somehow figure it out on their end. its infuriating when i'm on coms with one of my friends through discord (thankfully) but can't communicate to my teammates through IGC

You may have to go into your window settings and disable any mics than the one you want to use. Of course this only works if you have multiple ones. I have a XLR mic and then one from my wireless headset. Had to disable the wireless headset one and that fixed my issues.

YO I was having a same problem and i found a fix. I had to go into advanced sound settings and disable ALL other microphone devices. It worked right after!

Someone else mentioned too, but you have to actually press T for the text chat to work. If you click it manually, it doesn't work.
