Reduction of grind
The game just came out but the XP and even cosmetic unlock seem a bit grindy already. I do not need yet another endless bloodweb for a fleeting satisfaction like getting bloodpoints and the such. Anybody here actually asked for this xp system? Feels kinda off, because other than that the game is not that bad if they just keep adding content.

Perks can only go up to lvl 3. Perk exp gain is slow but you get plenty of perk points to upgrade your characters pretty fast. I played 4 hours now and I have two characters on lvl 10.

Pretty fast for me.

Also the cosmetics are unlocked by matches played with the character. Thats the opposite of grindy as long as it's not 100+.

Game has little content right now, grind can be adjusted once it has more

Oh? Weird then I must have a bug because certain survivor chics i plaid with (excuse the term "survivor" because it is basically the same as "victims" but i vaguely remember the survivors of "that other assymmetric game" also called victims while waiting for "more victims" at least in 2017 or so) did not get anything unlocked after i plaid multiple rounds with them.
Gameplay still is more immersive than your average "horror" game nowadays, just has that creepy original flair to it. Granpa Hooper knows best.

They could have atleast make leveling Characters endless, but after skilling 50 points, you level while playing as them. Capping skill points to 50 though.

there is no way this is true, I have played much longer than that and have one at 10 and one at 4 and I get near max points every match. The issue is the much greater experience needed for account level which is how you get SP to spend on skill trees to level characters. This is an issue since you have to fully respec trees if you want to swap between characters and it is absolutely terrible. This feeds into people leaving lobbies as well, no one wants to play a character with basic perks and no one wants to try to totally redo a skill tree in 3 minutes.

It is more like you do not get the point i make here. Not all people in the gaming world play a game to grind. You see there is a huge conflict of interest if (i know it must be hard to imagine for you) people get a game to actually play to have fun and have abilities ready for use and not to grind. Especially annoying is such a grind if the xp system does not save every time in games where it is important to use said xp for the grind.
I know you are a low effort imposter of Miku but even you should get that into your head.

PS: Progression bug still persisting and spoiler alert: that is hindering the oh so fun grind.
Did not pay for a RPG to grind but for a fun horror experience.

1. You dont own the game
2. Go back to dbd where you need 1000 hours to get all perks at max lvl for every character.....

It annoying that all the characters don't get the SP points. You get into a lobby and can't use the character you leveled up. I keep running into people skipping lobbies when they can't get their person they want. This is totally understandable. The MMR puts you into matches with people close to your level, and then you've got a character without any enhanced stats or perks.

It's a little grindy after getting one character to level 10 but at the same time, on day 2 a lot of hardcore gamers are close to maxing out one character ( myself included ). Devs have to strike a balance between the casuals and the hardcore gamers.
bruh what cosmetic items? they're all just reskins of the default outfits lol

Bruh they don't need that much time with all the bp rewards, codes, and events they give them these days. It's how they feed the baby whales.

The system requires adjustments because it favors selecting a specific character. Progression is not shared between characters; thus, if your perk reaches level three on one character and you obtain that same perk on another character, you still need to level it up to level three.
