Explain playing as leatherface to me

How are you supposed to play as him?
Surely I must be missing something, since it seems like he's unable to attack without revving up the chainsaw which stuns him again after like 10 seconds?

you dont need to rev to attack, just use m1 without revving that also works

im no pro, but i enjoy staying in basement and destroying every obstacle i see, essentially making the place a death trap. even if they're all above ground, they'll often fall through a well to flee from a chase. that's when you're supposed to be there to kindly greet them.

Leatherface can get a 1 hit kill when you rev. I killed a Sonny in 20 seconds flat and he DCed

In a few of my games I have spawned next to the generator/battery and they are already active.

I think this might either be a perk. or something implemented by the devs- it seems to shut off a bit afterwards so it may be best to check the battery first then restart the generator

Not sure about the generator, but the battery definitely needs to be turned on.
