I don't understand why there are games that don't focus on single player. Multiplayer should be an option, nothing more.

Developers stated that after their experience with making AI bots in Friday the 13th: The Game, they already know how much resources and time it takes. They said they would prefer to make the multiplayer as good as it can be rather than develop AI.

Huh? Which developers are you on about? Sumo had nothing to do with that dumpster fire and the basic AI akin to the EGS Marketplace version.

Be careful asking about single player in the forums, the TCM comp players will just laugh at you. This game is a online only team competitive game, If you suck, expect your team to DC or kick you. If you don't have the best perks and know the meta strats then expect to be called out on it. This game isn't about a fun horror experience, it's about winning and then telling the other team that they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Would definitely be nice if there was a solo/practice mode for sure. Would also be nice if there were some AI bots to throw into the mix in private matches, for when you just want to play with friends ONLY, and not sweaty (toxic) randos. Better for content creators, too.
