I am in the same situation, with DJI Avata 2, and have been practicing flying in Manual Mode within the regular LiftOff SIM (hours played are not actual in my profile).
I have been using the 'DJI FPV Drone' in LiftOff, and then Joshua Bardwell's favourite, the hot purple one, 'Skyeliner' as the main drone at the moment.
To me, it doesn't matter what drone it is, I could be wrong in this attitude, it is more to learn the basics and the feel of flying the drone in Manual Mode, in hopes to fly my Avata 2 with ease and with pleasure.
However, I flew within LiftOff many hours at 15 degrees angle camera, as Joshua Bardwell suggested in his tutorial videos (or at least 25 degrees) while utilizing the 'normal' LiftOff as training platform.
Then I came across a great book that I am still reading about quad drones (found out of it in a different forums), 'FPV Flight Dynamics' by Christian M. Mollica, who did suggest an imperative to fly in 45 degrees angle camera (for Racing and Acro flying styles).
The 45 degrees angle camera will focus the throttle more into the speed rather than going-up in altitude. Also, the 45 degree will change your perception of 'turning' the drone, you will use more of a 'roll' in turning.
I flew the Avata 2 in 45 degrees angle camera the last time I took it out, and I find it much stimulating since my velocity is about speed more than jumping altitude while throttling up.
I confess, I barely flew my Avata 2 in Manual Mode, I live in the city, and I have to go to a cemetery to practice flying in Manual Mode. This is due that I do feel I need more of an open space to just do basic maneuvers, or flying without crashing or hitting something or someone.
However, when I take on the DJI Avata 2 and take it for a flight, the experience is similar to the SIM in its feel. If I cannot do something in SIM in regard flying the drone, then I cannot do it in the real flying experience; and whatever I can do in the SIM, I can do with the real drone flying.
For LiftOFF Microdrones, I did get the SIM to practice another feel of flight, to diverse my flying training, yet the SIM flavour is, to myself, secondary to the 'normal' LiftOff, or to what I want to get out of LiftOff SIM games in general.
Even so, in LiftOff Microdrones SIM, the only scene I spend much time within is the Movie Theatre one, where there is a 'open space' within the car parking garages to go full speed, and practice turning the drone.
Perhaps it is rude of me to suggest this while being on LiftOff Microdrone discussion board, I do also practice much on Velocidrone lately, and I it has been part of my growing experience in handling the drone in manual flight.
However, I use the 'normal' LiftOff, where I started at, and continue to practice on, to measure my ability's growth to handle a drone in Manual Mode, which translates to handling the DJI Avata 2 flights in Manual Mode.
Thanks a lot for the reply,
I already played liftoff for 10 hours more, then leap of faith start flying my dji neo in manual, (i brought neo only for training manual before avata), then after some hour i graduate to avata with a lot of worry, and succed
but you re right, once we feel confident flying 1 drone we can just transitioned to other drone
Thanks a lot for your detailed info
I am actuallty in same situation, i live in city rarely have park, and so on
So i just fly my avata 100% in home haha, it makes it more more challenging since we play with lot of stuff around even ppl XD, maybe u should play indoor too
