Not that I can contradict your statement regarding DJI Neo, for I never did any tricks with it, as I am new in learning Manual Mode flight.
However, have you seen this video from YouTube's quadmovr, " DJI NEO Manual Mode | LOS Acro | Full Flight":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDZXom_bk_k
quadmovr had done many tricks as well, as it seems, pushing the limits on the DJI Neo in a way that is inspiring to utilize the Neo in an aggressive Acro Mode.
quadmovr mocks DJI manual's instructions warnings about not using DJI Neo for Acro Ticks:
DJI says its NOT SUITABLE for THIS | DJI NEO
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRZ5N58gLZw
Once again, I do not have the experience in moving a drone for Acro ticks, nor empirically I can deny your statement about DJI Neo and 'falling' with every trick.
It would be wonderful if LiftOff Microdrones developers can add DJI Neo since, I presume, it is popular with those who already do have DJI's FPV setup, the goggles and RC FPV 3.
