Do you know if it's anything like shadow warrior 2 gameplay wise?
Edit: after watching a youtube video this looks like command and conquer renegades from 2002 not like a 2020 game...I think they wanted it to look and feel like borderlands but even the first borderlands which was released in 2009 looks a whole lot better.
I loved the single player of Renegade much more than it's multiplayer.
Renegades was really cool back in 2002, it's a shame they canceled tiberium, it would have been so much better.
I like these type of games for the SP not MP experience. Shadow warrior 2 is like the perfect game for me, with borderlands 1 and 2 close behind.
PvP battles: single or versus (co-op if more than 2 players?), split-screen / local
Notes:
- Secondary gamepads required
- No bot support for PvP (you need minimum of two players, and it's only head-to-head / battle arena -- no PvE component)
PS2 online games were very rare. The PS2 didn't natively come with an online adapter. That being said, I think you hit the nail on the head. This is going to be a cash grab licensed game where they expect the license to run out shortly and therefore didn't want to wast the time trying to build up and maintain the online infrastructure for the game when the license will probably be gone in a year or 2 at most.
