Help with leech enemies

[Probable Cauze]

What is the strategy to fight the leech enemies? These are the ones that send a magic beam to you that drains your health no matter how far away you are. I assume there is some form or ability I should be using against them, but I'm not sure what. I'm unable to win any fights vs any non-trivial number of these enemies.

from my own experience, dont use forms like ghost or Rat against em Aka: forms that dont have natural hit stun.

hit stunning them is the go to for dealing with them as it will immediately stop the leech attack, and it takes them a bit to start it up again, other than that, rush their position, make them priority targets, and be wary their range is REALLY long

Thanks for the tips. Sorry for the newb question, but how do you know if an attack has hit stun? I was using the magician who has the stun ability on his attack, but I was quickly overwhelmed by the leeches. It's possible the game is just too hard for me.

I figured this one out. The knight worked for me. I assume forms like bodybuilder could work, too. The gimmicks for each dungeon are pretty difficult to figure out.

The Ranger's Dodge ability is a great way to knock them out of their attack. Ghost's Intangible ability can be used to ignore the damage to close the distance.
