Which is neat, because rarely used.
The main gameplay difference is that here your moving base (Trampler) is your actual base. In Last Oasis if you get killed on your walker it's not a huge deal, here though your Trampler is your base and all of your loot is inside of it -- and there are many mechanics of breaching (raiding like in Rust) it.
So gameplay wise it's more like Sea of Thieves meets Rust. You can highly customize/build out your base, and take it on a journey.
Awesome, looking forward to seeing more about the game.
This is exactly what comes in mind when see these machines.
Looking forward to it. Even though i am not into PvP aspects like in SoT or any other PvPvE type of games. But i think i will try to handle this one.
it's that adrenaline of knowing you MIGHT have some PVP while doing PVE that gets us going
"It'll be fine.... but let's overprep just in case"
I might tell to my buddies about this game, they might be interested as them being Tarkov players)
My only hope is a chance of a PVE server / mode. But doubtful. You wouldn't believe how many PVEr's there are out here looking for awesome games like Sand.
But anything with PVP just draws out trolls and ganking. Anything to ruin other peoples fun, is what many set out to do.
Shame that LS failed to maintain playerbase tho, hope this one will prevail
LO had the potential to be huge, but poor development choices nuked it at its prime. Right out of the gate, even if we're doing 1:1 LO comparison, the Dieselpunk/Steampunk idea gives you SO many more options to explore. But then add in, as you've stated DEV side, its more SoT meets Rust you open even more doors.
Take note of what all of those inspirations do well, and what they did poorly that kind of plateau'd their growth and you have a solid recipe for success option.
A hybrid of those 3 games spiritually has a lot of potential. We're looking forward to it.
