stuck need help!

i just got to town and past that to the mechant you have to talk to before you can venture forth. I am trying to climb up the mountains but the enemies (some kind of theater group) are way too overpowering.

Am I missing some earlier progress areas or am I just sucking hard. Any tips on how to proceed and where?

Mountains is the easiest place to go after town. Try to work on your dodge and parry.

those theatrical artist groups are not overpowered
it's just 3 or 4 of them
you can spend more time green forest location around Gemini town to uplift your Power Skill to 10 - 15 it would be enough for little advantage above enemies
also you can find some weapons laying on ground if you will search for them

before Town you can find 2 hammer
