*spoiler* What to do next?

I'm level 19 and my tasks are to

"Find the great shield artifacts to improve my chances against gemini and her bodyguards"

and

"go to the palace and fight gemini and her body guards"

Am I going to be in trouble if I don't go find these artifacts and just go try to beat Gemini?

Because I have no idea where they are.

I am very fond of this game but for a while it has felt like I have been walking in circles in the mountains and I am getting tired of playing and would like to finish up.

Did you defeat the 'Director'? Did you fight against the Boy's brother?

If you did both you need to return to the town and head north to the Amokuali (access is via the Town).

We will be adding an additional objective at the mountains to clear things up in the next update.

I for sure beat the director. Not sure about big boy's brother. Is there any way for me to see what that enemy looks like?

I feel like I have spent hours wandering around (you can see my game time) and I just need some kind of clear path forward.

The last equipment I got was lightning resistant armor and I have no idea where that is useful. If you could give me a hint about where that might be useful I could work with that.

I have been enjoying Clash and would recommend it to anyone but I seriously just need a pip on the map to head towards. Just a little hand holding.

Unless Im mistaken, you go and beat the director after you've beaten the boy's brother. He gives you the task to go beat up the director.
If there is an option in the game to beat the director before meeting the brother, then I guess you need to go to the brothers village now. Which is a bit south-west at the base of the mountain.

I have done all that I think. I feel liek I have been wandering in the mountains in circles trying to find the next "exit". I am going to try going back to the town.

I want to confess that I have missed some dialog due to me playing loud music so me being lost is fully my fault and not a game design thing.

Yes, that's the brother. He steals your stuff right before you fight the director.
If you've done that, then there is no need to be in the mountains anymore. If I remember correctly, you wake up in the brothers village after the fight with the director.

I'm not sure if your next objective is shown in Progression screen, but I *think* you need to go to Amokuali now.
