But, Father-Mother doesn't have checkered-coloured ankles. One could argue that's just part of Boy's species puberty/growth.
My theory is a bit more depressing - the Boy's powers are taken from him and killed. Boy's power is transferred into the Golem Hand (the linking ring). What we know about Kax-Teh and the other Golems is that they work outside of the scope/purpose of Zenozoik and its citizens.
I would rather say they're socks or shoes.
So the Boy belongs to the same species as Father-Mother and may grow into them.

However, when leaving the Amokuali, the Boys tells Pseudo about a dream he had where he had grown old and wise, Zenozoik had become a much better place to live, and he had dreamed or remembered of the time he was a little boy having adventures with Pseudo.
If this is true, then the Boy won't become Father-Mother.
No, there would be no need to kill the boy to harness his power. Golem already gains the linking power by the end of Clash and the child is perfectly unharmed.
Remember that in ZC2 Nahuatl-Teh actually does a gross interference in Zenozoik by creating the twisted chimeras at the base of the Pink Tower, and Xotl-Teh and Kax-Teh have a fight about. For Kax-Teh this was so unacceptable that he actually got Nahuatl-Teh killed. So it would be extremely out of character for him to have hurt the boy after he took him to the outside world.
I wasn't intending to infer that I thought they are the same character. But merely seeking to conjure the image of young Father-Mother in people's minds :]
Why is it so difficult for you to accept that once upon a time Father-Mother was a cute little ball of feathers? heheh
