Basically locate all the dark alter egos of all the other bosses
...and then...
Go to the Town, she's waiting for you there.
Let me know how that goes and if you need help locating any of the bosses.
When I reached the part where you are separated from the boy, I wished there was a similar "guiding" system for everything else in the game. This made navigation 1000x times more enjoyable.
Right now you can get out of the endgame challenge by killing yourself and choosing the "give up challenge" option. We will add a more reasonable menu option in a future update probably.
doesn't work :(
You don't get the option to quit the challenge in the game over menu?
I would slightly alter the end of the game so that instead of having to reload the game from before the last boss, after defeating the boss the world changes slightly so that the palace is now empty, everything is back at normal (except maybe in the town where some things are a bit different, i.e. more NPCs, things like this).
You can then go back to Pseudo's training camp (I don't remember the exact name), go below the ground where you fight the master the first time, and there you could find memory-related artifacts that could allow you to:
1. "Re-live" the palace section, including the final boss fight after it. Maybe with a screenspace shader applied so that it feels like a memory or something. But this is not my main suggestion, it's only here so that people can fight the 4 palace bosses + last boss again if they want to.
2. Use Pseudo's memory to locate missing discoveries (i.e. night body parts, nightmare bosses). This would work like the part where you're separated from the boy, with the world being painted on to indicate the way to the thing you're interested in. Obviously I'm guessing this is a tremendous amount of work because I'm pretty sure the "separated from the boy" part of the game was completely authored by you guys, I doubt it's a reusable piece of code to anywhere in the world.
Then you could also present a third artifact in the cave that would allow to "restart your journey", starting a new game + game. Obviously this is food for thoughts, but right now I feel like the end of the game is somewhat incomplete.
I still enjoyed the game a lot, even though I kept getting lost and did a huge amount of backtracking.
