[Spoilers for the whole game] Where to find the last true boss?
So I just completed the game. How do I find Nightmare Gemini? Do I have to die before the "last last boss" (triggering the credits), so I can "abandon the challenge"?

Also is there a way to know where the missing night-time outfits are? I'm missing 4 and after having beaten the aforementioned boss it will be my only missing achievement. If there is no way to find them somewhat easily I probably won't bother.

Alright so I "gave up the challenge" and went back to the palace during night time but I can't get in.

Please let me know how to find her!

To locate 'Dark Gemini' you have to first:

-Find and defeat Dark Claw
-Find and defeat Dark Director
-Find and defeat Dark Outcast
-Find and defeat Dark Moon-Sun
-Find and defeat Dark Axylon
-Find and defeat Dark Wrehgg
-Find and defeat Dark Voota-Yan
Basically locate all the dark alter egos of all the other bosses

...and then...

Go to the Town, she's waiting for you there.

Let me know how that goes and if you need help locating any of the bosses.

Thanks for the answer! Do they all have an achievement tied to them? Because if that's not the case I have absolutely no idea which ones I'm missing! I'll check the town during the night, maybe I have beaten them all but I doubt it considering I think I'm missing a part of the "North" armor.

No, they do not have all achievements. You raise a good point that it's difficult to know who you have beat and who you have not.... Maybe we can do something about that for an update...

Overall I liked the game but it could definitely use some tooling in regards to player orientation. I spent probably 50% of my playthrough either wondering where I had to go, or wondering why I was going through this way for the fourth time.

When I reached the part where you are separated from the boy, I wished there was a similar "guiding" system for everything else in the game. This made navigation 1000x times more enjoyable.

where am I supposed to go after I get the first artifact from the director?

Go to the north world, 'the Amokuali'. There's a giant tree with some large rectangle things hanging from its branches in the horizon (accessed from the central town). When you enter that area Pseudo will have a brief talk with the boy where he asks him why he is humming the same song all the time.

How am I supposed to get 100% if you kill Gemini it won't let you go back to Zenozoik?

Right now you can get out of the endgame challenge by killing yourself and choosing the "give up challenge" option. We will add a more reasonable menu option in a future update probably.

You don't get the option to quit the challenge in the game over menu?

Anyway, regarding the option to find stuff in the game, especially once you're done with the story, I have a suggestion that would obviously mean a lot of work to implement but that could really help wrap up the game "properly" for players. Because right now I've finished the game but am still missing night body parts and some nightmare bosses, however the only way I can find them is by going again in each area and search every single nook and cranny in the game to hope to find something interesting.

I would slightly alter the end of the game so that instead of having to reload the game from before the last boss, after defeating the boss the world changes slightly so that the palace is now empty, everything is back at normal (except maybe in the town where some things are a bit different, i.e. more NPCs, things like this).

You can then go back to Pseudo's training camp (I don't remember the exact name), go below the ground where you fight the master the first time, and there you could find memory-related artifacts that could allow you to:
1. "Re-live" the palace section, including the final boss fight after it. Maybe with a screenspace shader applied so that it feels like a memory or something. But this is not my main suggestion, it's only here so that people can fight the 4 palace bosses + last boss again if they want to.
2. Use Pseudo's memory to locate missing discoveries (i.e. night body parts, nightmare bosses). This would work like the part where you're separated from the boy, with the world being painted on to indicate the way to the thing you're interested in. Obviously I'm guessing this is a tremendous amount of work because I'm pretty sure the "separated from the boy" part of the game was completely authored by you guys, I doubt it's a reusable piece of code to anywhere in the world.

Then you could also present a third artifact in the cave that would allow to "restart your journey", starting a new game + game. Obviously this is food for thoughts, but right now I feel like the end of the game is somewhat incomplete.

I still enjoyed the game a lot, even though I kept getting lost and did a huge amount of backtracking.

Can you tell me how long did it take you to finish the game?
