Are upgrades worthless?
So, there is an enemy directly right of that town at the beginning, i hit it with LV1 claws and do 25 DMG.
Gathered some chips, did some stuff, upgraded the claws to LV2, got a chip that increases my damage, upgraded that chip too, removed the magnet chip and installed the dmg upgrade chip, went back to the exact same enemy, and now i do 30 DMG...

Is this a joke, did i do something wrong, or is this actually what THREE damage upgrades are supposed to do? I hate it when the game only gives you text and no numbers.
It's like the Simpsons' "We recycle a certain percentage!" "How much?" "Zero!... Zero is a percentage!"

WHAT would the actual numbers on the upgrades even be? The weapon upgrade added 2 dmg or what? HOW IN THE WORLD, do 3 upgrades equal an increase of 5???

For having to talk to the dumb ass NPC for about an hour, having to skip all their annoying dialog, building their boring buildings and walking through that boring ugly town, this reward system seems pathetic! Navigating 100 menus and the city and crap, for basically nothing!

Edit: Yeah, the upgrade system is a huge troll. The LV2 DMG chip is ACTUALLY only giving me +2 DMG. What a stupid joke. No wonder nobody is playing this garbage! Literally EVERYTHING except hitting an enemy in your normal form, freaking sucks! Even the main character started looking like some kind of dumb pokemon after a few moments. In the first few seconds i LOVED the main character... Then their look changed VERY SLIGHTLY into looking like a edgy pokemon, or maybe some edgy sonic charcter...

You could have made a good game, and instead, you mad THIS...
Seems to be a trend now...

I'm really sorry to hear the game left you feeling frustrated, especially with the upgrade system and character progression...

That said, I’d really appreciate a bit of understanding, and maybe a softer approach with the feedback. We're a small team who’s poured our heart, soul, and money into making this game. So when we see comments like "no wonder nobody is playing this garbage," it honestly stings. We care a lot about the experience we’re creating, and while we’re always looking to improve, it’s tough to read feedback that’s phrased so harshly.

I don’t know what your job is, but imagine someone publicly saying that your work is garbage—it would probably hurt, right? There’s just no need to go that far. We really do take feedback seriously, but it helps so much when it’s shared respectfully.

Anyway, sorry for not making a game that you enjoyed.

Don't be sorry, be better!

You FORCE the player to deal with the dumb story and disgusting npc ON PURPOSE!
And don't come with "That's so mean to say!", YOU made them look disgusting ON PURPOSE!
WHY do developers write so much garbage story and make so many garbage npc, that only annoy me and waste my time, when all you need is "The last Metroid is no longer in captivity, the galaxy is no longer at peace!"?

I wish myself back to the times where game development was more limited. I heard the Devs wanted to put like... whole conversation trees, a tutorial, and animated videos into Megaman X, but they couldn't, because of limitations!
Amazing... so... the game was ONLY good, because the devs didn't have the ABILITY to screw up the game with annoying garbage!
The game is even known to have one of the BEST tutorials in videogame history, and yet, the devs openly talk about how they wanted to do a "Hello player, this is a D-Pad! Try pressing it!" kind of tutorial!

Can't even remember when i last played a game, that started to get good, BEFORE i had to skip through an hour of text...

I think you need to take a break from video games...

Dude, its BM (Bad Manners) to necro up a thread like this from a year ago to add nothing. Although i do appreciate that even the dev is laughing at him. I was also surprised at the minimal damage boost, but that's not to say i didn't feel it. 3 hits to kill down to 2 is big, HUGE. And collecting everything you do feel suitably powerful, so it does work well.
