Killing Floor 3

Killing Floor 3

All Fur Coat, No Knickers
I thought it was going to be bad, but even I didn't think it was going to be THIS bad.
What's the slogan this time around, "beta done right?"
At least with KF2 I can point out some positives. This is totally disheartening, though admittedly expected.

The Bad
  • UE5
  • General glitches and bugs that really should have been worked out by now (spawning issues, animations desync, etc)
  • Characters based on class
  • Trader is a pod again but is even more soulless
  • Overall color pallet is beyond dull, feels like everything including the characters are just a mass of grey or brown
  • Environment is unappealing to look at and play in compared to the last 2 games. KF2 had some bad map design but this is really boring
  • Somehow looks visually worse than KF2 (shadows, lighting, gore)
  • Overall bad sound design (again somehow worse than KF2). Lack of audio cues
  • Music is a massive downgrade from KF1 & 2 (I can't use the word generic enough to describe this game)
  • Weapons lack any punch and generally look like generic Sci-fi slop. Just lame. Physical combat doesn't have any weight to it as well
  • Welding may as well not even be in the game at this point
  • No more weight system, can only hold 2 guns (not including pistol)
  • The monster designs are atrocious, bland, and lack distinguishability
  • Awful character designs, I don't want to play as any of these people (except maybe Foster and he's the worst looking version of him yet)
  • Character voice lines aren't fun, no personality to them. Generic, even overly serious at times
  • No invisible women out to kill me no Stalker booty
  • Killing Floor, now with even MORE robots :Clot:
  • Disappointing boss fights (from what I have seen)
  • Not English centric or even European themed anymore
  • Story has gone off the rails. No more rockabilly/grindhouse/campy horror. KF1 had better aesthetics. Same issue KF2 had. It's either too serious or too wacky and does neither well
  • Bad UI, not just for the HUD but the menus too. A downgrade of standards from not just KF2 but even KF1. I'd go so far as to say it almost looks like something you'd find on a phone game
  • Visual clutter vomit in general. The awful blur effect doesn't help this
  • Everything about the weapon system. Seriously, this is Killing Floor not Battlefield.
  • Gadgets
  • Crafting system and grinding BS
  • creds :Dosh:
  • Stupid cosmetic clutter that only further adds to the visual mess and theming. Clown show
  • Unnecessary twitchy dodge slide movement crap and wanna be DOOM finishers that bloat combat
  • Overwatch tier ultimates
  • Looks like there will be microtransactions out the ying-yang. (I'll never forget what you said and went back on for EA KF2. Fool me once...)

The maybe Good
  • Limited healing syringes/Have to buy heals. This might be the only thing I could argue as being something interesting and conducive to complexity, skillfulness and depth. It has potential to add to the game play at least, make things more tense and might cause people to put more thought behind their actions. It could also be awful.

This is all just from my first impressions. A lot of these issues are things that can not or will not be fixed in a months time. Thinking anything otherwise it quite literally a cope.

In conclusion
"That is just bang out of order. No bloody way!":MrFoster:
