KF3 is a joke.
Really Tripwire? You had what, ten years to craft a sequel to one of the best squad based games of all time - THIS is what you came up with?
Where do I even start?
1. Heroes tied to classes - this is silly. So much of KF1/2 was running whatever class you desired, coupled with a multitude of avatars. Now we get the Apex legends/hero-shooter treatment of avatar = class.
2. Class Variation: Bro we get SIX, generic ass classes now? What the ♥♥♥♥ is "Engineer" or "Ninja"? LOL ninja? Really - that is the most creative thing you could come up with in a decade? What happened to gunslinger, berserker, demo, swat? KF2 had so many classes that each felt unique and special in their own way. Now in sharp contrast, KF3 supplies a lukewarm selection.
3. Weapons: This is actually a joke. Each class gets what, 5 guns? And they all look generic ass pseudo-made up slop that kinda looks like real guns but not really. KF2 had more damn guns that you could count, AND they werent locked to any one class, and they were actually real guns, not some made up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
3a - yeah ok we get "weapon mods" ok who gives a ♥♥♥♥ when the roster of firearms is so small, and it all feels so "fake"?
4. Atmosphere/Aesthetic: Game does not look or feel like KF, the horror and grittiness is absent, everything feels "sanitized". Characters look too clean & tidy.
5. Performance: Yeah yeah it's a beta I know but this game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Doesn't look all that much better than KF2 (ok we get shiny lighting and reflective surfaces oh boy) yet I struggle to run this. I'm running a 3700x, 3070, 16gb ram, installed on a M.2 -- I can play games that are much more visually impressive at vastly higher framerates.

TLDR - KF3 is ass. Tripwire you ♥♥♥♥ the bed on this one, ten years and somehow you went backwards? We were expecting a shining sequel and we got the hero-shooter treatment. KF is not overwatch, its not apex, stop trying to make it so...
Thank god you guys don't have your hands in Red Orchestra anymore, god knows how you'd ♥♥♥♥ that up given what I've seen with KF3 so far..

Only thing I really like is that you can finally vault over waist high fences. Other than that I agree with some of your points. They did say real world guns will be added for free, but does the word "free" require me to grind 5 hours of my time just to use an AK? We'll see.

Considering how much people hate that they can't select their own character, I expect that to change quickly.

And fortunately for them, that's one of the "big issues" that people care about and not the other stuff that will reveal itself after you've grinded all the perks to the max and realize that the game has no replay value.

Yeah I hate the new guns too. They look so blocky and takes half of your screen.
I agree on all your points. It does also feel like a COD mod :/

hate me all you want but i kinda like new guns. A lot of weapons in kf2 are neon lab prototype style guns and no skins for these to make them more ordinary. I'm just tired of seeing all the futuristic shiny neon weapons huh
I just watched some video of this game and the AR present looks like the dog **** assault rifle in Fallout 4 lmfao.

Those guns were all microstransactions. KF2 on release (early access) had all real world guns (minus the medic guns) that were recorded in 200fps. Kf3 has none of that.

kf2 was in a sad state of affairs upon release. Hopefully this puts the fear of god in them, and they get to work.

If someone paints a masterpiece and then a decade later paints a sequel that looks like a 10 year old drew it, while selling it off as a magnum opus - you can still critique this despite not being a painter.
Also, you don't even have KF2 in your library so sit your punk ass down and let the adults talk sonny.
The animations are awful and the guns feel like your shooting a sponge, no reaction from the gun or the zed
My biggest fault with what you said, 2 out of the 4 classes you mentioned were added later.

I am pretty sure Kf2 only launched with 5-6 classes. Swat and gunslinger were definitely added later. Demo and Beserk i think were base. But KF2 wasn't the game it is now, as it was at launch. Its been deeply DEEPLY polished.

I can live with most of these, but I agree about atmosphere. It is wasted. Also music is too generic.
I also don't like that character so mobile now, but it is personal.
About weapons - we probably had the same amount in KF2 in 1.0. So, it's too early to complain.
