Ever heard that saying that "Words may have consequences" ?
No wonder we keep getting trash games. People just flap their gums and do not think that some developers might take things seriously.
Valve had to make point awards to make the forums even more trollish and pointless.
Back on topic. You can't be a KF 1 fan if you think KF 3 looks "dope". You are either the younger generation that grew up with KF 2 and hero shooters.
If you would play KF 1 you would say the movement is sluggish and that zeds are to OP.
That is what KF 1 was all about. Learning the mechanics and getting good at aiming at the head.
KF 2 was improved on the combat but man o man the zed animations are to much. With dodging and pulling all sorts of Matrix moves I wonder if they will go even more Matrix in this 3rd entry.
So far from what they announced I do not like the following:
-Sci Fi bullshift
-Classes that replace the Perk system KF 1 and 2 had.
-Characters that are locked on specific Classes (This means that we will have 6 or 8
Characters for the 6 or 8 Classes) Lame lame lame !
-Hero abilities like Overwatch (Uuuughhhh, aren't people tired of that Hero shooter trope ?)
-Zeds look more like Doom Eternal rejects. Honestly why ? What was the reason ? Because some talented folks that worked on Doom Eternal are not working on KF 3 ?
Why go this route and destroy all that KF 1 and 2 build ? You could remove the Killing Floor 3 title and add the name Mutant Rampage and no one would ever know this is Killing Floor.
I was just wanting to add a bit of positivity to the forms.
I played KF1, managed to get Medic to 5 or 6 I cannot remember what the level cap was it’s been so long ago but a lot of my time was absolutely on KF2 on Xbox.
I just liked the more fast paced chaotic KF2 matches, and I had way more friends who actually played it with me.
I am excited for something different and new, and more accepting. The new things they’re adding really looks priming to a fun gameplay experience.
At least to me anyways, I fully understand and respect the reasons you aren’t happy with how things have changed.
I agree that the character designs are on the bland side but the gameplay looks like it make up for it.
This whole doomposting situation has become so overblown. Its just a game.
Here’s hoping the base game itself will be good. I hope they only stick to cosmetic DLC, or at least if they plan on selling gun DLC that they will at the very least be balanced instead of Kf2’s horrible overpowered or horribly bad (looking at the Dosh Gun in particular)
Also here hoping the difficulties assuming they’re the same 4, will be just like how they are portrayed in KF2 where the higher the level of the character, the more balanced the difficulty feel. With Hell on Earth just being a challenge difficulty.
I am sure when they get around to showing/releasing cosmetics that bland character design won’t even be that big of an issue.
My biggest concern is the voice lines and if the characters maybe annoying to listen too.
Otherwise the gameplay just looks fun as well, especially when I can only imagine how chaotic a full 6 player lobby might look/feel like.
I could criticize the game on end for the Specialist system, as I mentioned I lean more towards that being a bad thing, but I choose to be optimistic about seeing as the Specialist and Skill trees remind me of Borderlands.
These forums are filled with enough criticizing as it is, a little bit of positivity for those who are actually excited and willing to try out the changes and wanting to enjoy the game isn't going to denounce the countless post criticizing.
Also to comment on the Concord bit, I am highly sure that it didn't fail to just it being a Hero Shooter. If that is the case; then Marvel Rivals would be dead too. But that isn't what this post is about. Now if you wish to compare the characters of Concord to the Characters of KF3 I'd be more inclined to agree there. They are not fantastic looking that's for sure.
