Tripwire Interactive & Epic games exclusive
Recent games from Tripwire interactive have been Epic Games 1 year exclusive.
Will Killing Floor 3 be released same day on multiple key selling sites like GOG or Steam?
- Maybe my old age (41) is outdated & this is the norm for PC games.

Making it Epic Exclusive is the only thing they can do to prevent me from buying it immediately. If they build hype on Steam and then don't release it here that's outright betrayal. I hope they don't do that.

Aside from that, it's a guaranteed pre-order from me, and those are very rare. :NAYU_SUZU:
From what I've seen in the announcement trailer, it says that wil be available in both Steam and Epic games, and consoles of course.
From that, I take that there won't be any exclusivity and will be available in all platforms at launch.

It says to wish list on steam. Unless I'm missing something I don't think they can just bait and switch like that. That would be pretty lowdown to advertise a game on steam and then make it an exclusive to epic store at the last minute.

Besides, that epic launcher deal has a pattern of ruining more games than it helps. Epic has to push their online services onto other platforms just keep multiplayer populated.

Epic games = no buy

I read on Reddit that there's no exclusivity but it uses EOS.

They cannot advertise a game on Steam if it's gonna be exclusive. So yeah, no exclusivity. If the store page simply vanishes for some reason, then yeah, they made a deal with Epic.

Yes they can. If it's 1 year exclusive on Epic Games store.

No, they can't. See if there's any currently exclusive game on Epic with a store page on Steam, there isn't.

List of games Advertised on Steam for Pre-Order, but removed days later.
Satisfactory
Metro Exodus
The Walking Dead: The Final Season
Devotion
Borderlands 3
- it seems as though Valve is taking action against this happening in the future

Damn, that's enough for me to not buy it.

If you seen it here and it already has forums and stuff, what do you think ?
Saints Row reboot did not have a steam page for example. KF 3 has.

They can and have done so previously. Man eater was one.

Maneater is an old game, things have changed. Like I sad before, show me a game of NOWADAYS that is exclusive on Epic and have a page on Steam.

Since the game is made using Unreal Engine like Payday 3 and more to come because of the Unity fiasco you can expect more companies will use EOS.

Dev/Publishers can get 100% (zero fees) from sales on Epic for first 6months if they do a 1 year exclusivity. (also if they're using unreal engine, they get reduced fees outside of the above agreement)
If it drops on Epic first i'll probably just break and get it there, but theres always so many games you could be playing that waiting a year to play just results in you paying less for a more developed and expanded product. (and usually some tweaks to make progression faster)
