White screen problem

Not sure if a post here will help, seeing as there are no posts whatsoever, but I don't know where to ask. Just bought the game, the idea seems neat. Even in the tutorial I can't see the middle of the screen, it's all white. So I can't even see the tools necessary to continue with the tutorial. Has anyone encountered the same problem? I'd really like to give the game a shot instead of refunding on the spot.

Not something I've had a problem with, but going to ask the silly questions to try and help out.

What resolution is the game set to and are you playing at fullscreen or windowed mode?
Does the white box appear as soon as you launch the game, during the intro with the photo, or once you can mix potions?
Did you try to update your graphic drivers?

It's 1920x1080 fullscreen for me. The problem is that I can't see the middle of the in-game screen while brewing potions, it doesn't appear on launch in a menu, for example. As for graphics drivers, I haven't tried it immediately after, but I did update them not too long ago, shouldn't have been an issue. The picture link you shared works just fine, thanks for posting it! That is very strange as it is preventing you from seeing the entire mixing area, but the rest is visible.

My only other suggestion is to try verifying your game as it appears to maybe be an issue with assets and resources.

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately it didn't help. Seems like it's a refund...

I have this problem as well. The blank screen appears during the potiion making and the campaign dialogues. I am able to restore the screen if I restart the potion, but it is not possible during the dialogues. Or I just don't see how to do it. Overall I like the game very much.

Thanks, worked for me as well after a restart. Hope they fix it eventually though, as it is quite a hindrance and might turn some people away.

Hello! One of the developers here - we just pushed an update to fix the white screen issue! You'll have to go to the beta tab in the properties and switch to vulkan, but things should work after that!

It's not an ideal solution, and we'll keep looking to see if there's another way to remove the issue for people in the main build, but should hopefully sort it out for the mostpart.
