Stuck on a quest

I need 2 more Sapphires. I have 3 / 5. I read I need to just go around the areas and eventually I will find some. I need 5 and I have 3. Im upto the forest/rock jungle area.
Is this right that i will eventually find sapphires?

That early in the game, only in chests. They start dropping more frequently later.

I dont think I used any for crafting...You cant tell me I am now lccked out of the game and can't continue because thats silly? The developers should have realised this?
I cant say ive used any for crafting but some people did say they spent ages smashing objects and monsters etc and got some. I only 2 more. Ive been around the forest (green area) around 10 times, I could go back to the yellow area?

the quest says to go to the stone forest but where is that? i only see the forest and the yellow map area, and the purple area but thats back on the ship

The stone forest is the second main biome after the main forest area. You should be able to go there after you return to camp after completing the forest area boss.

As for sapphires you might not get many there though, dont worry too much about it at the moment just keep progressing and you will fin d the biome that drops sapphires.

Is the stone forest the yellow part of the map or the green part of the map? I have literally been evrywhere in the green zone and the yellow zone, my task says to collect Sapphire to give to the NPC to repair the ship which I cant because only 3 sapphires out the 5. I was enjoying this game until I got stuck after the green zone

Yellow area should be labelled in your map, you may need to zoom in / out for the label to pop up. Have you beaten the stone forest boss? The boss of the yellow area? you dont need to complete the engine side quest for this as far as i recall.... there shouldnt be anything preventing you to continue. You get the sapphires a little later in a light blue map biome if i recall correct.

There isnt one area I havent been. I am hoping the stone forest is the yellow area?
I have been all over the yellow and green area as far as I noticed.

The game crashed during my recording so I wil play again tomorrow :)
see if I can progress because it seems I cant get the way on ...been pretty much everywhere and opened all the chests

You will know if you have beaten the boss for the yellow area as it will be marked on your map. If its a greyed out skull you have killed it, if its red then you havent killed it.... if no skull on the yellow map tiles... you havent found and fought that boss yet.

Either way you need to beat that boss to progress.

There is no time limit to complete the quests, by the way. You can just keep going with the main quest and gather materials for the mechanic's line of quests as you go. Once you reach the orange area, you'll gain access to Teleportation Stones, which make completing these quests a lot quicker.

I have the teleport areas already so i can telepor from one area to another.
Just not sure how to continue to progress the game. Ive been playing 6 hours and
only been through the yellow zone on the map and the green zone.

Ive taken a screenshot of the map ive uncovered. I have no idea where to go to progress.
Ive done most of the green and yellow. There are some doors that wont open to the far righthat say it wont open from this side.

You havent fought the boss for the area. Go to the top left part of the yellow map above the teleport room. You can see the big room adjacent there that hasnt been explored. I dont believe you are restricted there. There are a number of other areas that you havent explored in yellow map, but will be able to do so once you get new ability.

I think I tried there....I couldnt reach it or get htrough as it was blocked by a wall or something but can try again. I did play earlier and didn get further except levelling up but can try again

I ht ink that part was actually a locked door that said it cant be opened from that side if you mean the fa left teleport room, but I can run through again but it does look like i havent found the boss yet

I posted more screenshots in my screenshot section. Either way the doors tell me "I cant open from that side" and I cant get there, I tried jumping on the floor for weak points in areas, nope...no luck....I tried going to other doors, still says no, other side...

I foudn a blue door to the far right with a blue cross on it...I hit it with my magic nothing worked...to be honest I dont know what to do now as I ams tuck.... on the pl;us side I finished the Chicken quest on the air ship :)

OK you are at the right teleport room, but you need to come out of there to the big room on your right... you can see the big room does not have a white border round it at the top... you need to go up.

If you still cant find it, i will boot up a save to see what the issue is but pretty sure i dont recall an obstacle here. The doors that are locked in this biome will require you them from the other side, or by using a keystone. But i dont think you will need these to get to boss room, but need them for some secret goodies etc.

To clarify, in that big room you need to let blocks on platforms come down a bit so that you can use them as platforms to cross the top part of the room. Theres a few levers and one of those funnel things you need to shoot into. Nothing overly complicated if you have been doing the light puzzles so far.
