Please let me know the best mech assembly combination you use
The mech I made is so inefficient.

It's especially difficult for me in tight, narrow terrain.

It strongly depends on the research you unlocked, resources you have available and biome/alien types you have to face.

If you problem is narrow terrain, then the best solution is to research rocket launcers (which are different from the starting rocket pods) and use them to carve bigger paths using explosions.

thank you.

What is the terrain Force Attack button?

The middle mouse wheel button does not work.

There is no "aim at terrain" button or command. You have to target an enemy near the spot you want to level. It is cluncky, but not too much. Usually, enemies go for you in a straight line. If you put the narrow path between you and an ovus, that path should fill with operaiuses that you can target. The blast should easily damage the walls.

If you set a proper minimum distance for rockets, put yourself far away from the enemies and properly micro the mech, blasting paths with explosives is doable without too many problems.

Caution, the big missiles are potent, but dangerous! Yes they can carve out terrain, and even delete whole maps. But they also can delete whole groups of mechs. So be extra super careful, and use generous minimum firing distances on them, and disable them at the start of combat.

For a much easier start, I recommend you learn how to use drill arms to remove terrain (when in combat, pause the game and draw a movement path through terrain, mechs with drills will remove terrain along the path automatically).

Oh, there is a third thing you can do. You can configure your mechs and weapons to be extra deadly at low ranges. Give your mechs drill arms for melee combat. And use the standard gatling gun with maximum firing rate; it is really effective at low range. No need for precision if the enemies pop up right in fromt of the mech, right? Just all the DAKKA you can get.

I use a single rocket launcher with critical and maximum damage to clear the ground. You can see what it does for yourself in the test chamber: it's basically a mini nuclear bomb. Just be careful using it on underwater missions before you have access to a drone because the Ai likes to take damage from it due to the huge area of effect it has.

How do you disable weapons? I haven't been able to find that control.

Mind that the order of weapons on the battle screen is reversed. Your left weapon will be right. Make sure to hover over while paused to figure out which rocket weapon is the Critical Large Rocket that friendly fires your team.
