I feel stupid, can't start first mission
I followed the tutorial prompts, assigned pilots to mechs, then went to mission, clicked on the flashing box and hit the start button, but nothing happens

I figured it out, you have to drag the mechs into the slots.

I can't even understand what i'm looking at and can't start a mission either. Got so confused so I uninstall it.

From Engineering you drag any Mechs, you haven't already prepared, into the tab at the bottom of the screen. This brings up customization and lets you tweak weapons/parts/etc. When you're ready to commit that Mech to combat, you hit the "Send ( ! )" button twice. That puts it in the Hangar.

From the Hangar tab, you see your mechs on the left. Your pilots are in a labeled tab under the Teams/Days numbers. Drag and drop a Pilot to an empty Mech.

Click the Mission tab, next to the pilot tab. To deploy, Click the Picture/Photo of the mission area. It should be a picture of a big weird city on legs or a scenic picture. If you can't find this, select a highlighted square, with or without a number, and it will show you a picture of your deployment area. Click that picture with your Mechs and their pilot slots full and you should be able to deploy.

Hope this helps.

Instructions unclear, mech stuck in trash heap. This game was not designed for human use.
