You will want to have active armor coating (top in defence menu) which stops 1 missile each point to fight rocket enemys and/or c-ram aux module on some mechs.
1: No.
2:Weapons are not effected by power consumption unless they specifically say so, reducing their power required with blue wire will remove 5 power requirement (cant go negative by adding more than it has power requirement) and reduce mech max power output by 3 along with increasing reactor heat generated by .02(red wires have the same effect but in reversed power direction, 5 power req increase and 3 reactor max increase along with same heat generation increase of .02).
3:The reload heat listed in power section shows the TOTAL heat generated by the entire reload, reducing reload time will reduce the total heat generated because less time is spent in reload, you can see the difference by having the power menu open while changing the cabin to something with better control (control reduces reload time) or changing an aux to ammo module.
4:i do not know but it is probably a very minor effect that is hard to notice.
Might have to do with the squad leader and its relation to subordinates,
Not sure about the real effect or its importance tho
But two more things: when a mech has a priority target, do the projectiles/missiles "ignore" other enemies or fly over them?
And do drones repair HP and armor?
