Secondary loop pump dry?
Trying to shut down the reactor for maintenance, and I've followed the procedure.

But I saved and quit, then reloaded the game. Now when I try to activate the No3 pump for the secondary loop, I get a DRY warning.

What am I missing? Steam generator No3 shows 5000 units of fluid, and the condenser has water in it.

Is there a lack of water between the condenser and the third cooling loop? If so, how do I get a reading on that?

Switch off the circulation pump and make sure your primary loop is hot enough. The coolant level in the 2nd loop will drop down again if the primary loop is hot enough to generate steam.

Maybe we can help each other out: Does the click and hold on the synchronoscope work for you? In my case it doesn't. It just clicks once and that's it.

I went and took a look-see at the pump for No3 and it was, uh, smoking inside the building. On duty, too. Can you believe that!

I must have damaged it or the loop somehow, and it must be leaking. I wish we had a way to inspect the liquid/steam levels in pipes. (Maybe some kind of sci-fi X-ray-like look-inside-pipe tool?)

I've put the bot on task for doing a maintenance checkup and see what it reports.

As for the synchro buttons -- I will try it, but looks like I've got a ways to go before I can try spinning up any of the turbines.

After repairing the pump and emptying the loop, things were back to normal. I'm not entirely sure what was happening but coolant wasn't flowing at all. But resetting it all from base shutdown state has fixed it.

Something I did wrong, I imagine. I will keep playing with it.
