Best of luck with the finishes.
Sometimes it's also kinda for more visibility, especially for (unknown) indies.
They certainly can't do much more than this to be more "known", somehow.
Also the "Steam festival(s) demo" can be quite effective (now), for them, I really do believe.
The other trouble is that there are too many games...and so little time to try them.
If you need some similar game there are already some (sadly with no release date).
The one very close to Sinistrous is Deepest Chamber, there is also another (a bit different), Draft of Darkness (coming in 2021),
The only one most recents (in early access), are Doors of insanity, Dimension Reign and Tainted Grail: Conquest.
There are probably few others here and there.
Has anyone heard anything??
