what precisely does each key do? There is no sign of any key mapping in the "settings", and no other way to determine their effects except trying to use them. Unfortunately, one of them seems to mess with the display so I couldn't actually see anything. I experimented with the keys to try and find a way to rotate the assets, but so far have found no way to do so (granted, I could set up a map without ensuring everything had the appropriate orientation, but it's harder to get a proper sense of how the area works)

the only useful controls I figured out was wasd (or arrow keys) to move map, q and e to rotate map and r to remove objects. Something that took multiple maps (giving up on them when there was no sign of an ability to change what had already been placed) to discover

Sorry about the lack of key mappings.
There is menu up the top left labelled help

It has all the key bindings in there.

Ill work on adding them in game and binding to F1

I tried clicking on help, but it failed to load, which is a situation I am used to from word and other programs. I will try and see if it will load next time, as aside from the control issues, it does look to be very useful

It would be of immense help if your "Help" file was in something larger than 4pt font. Who the hell can read this?

are you referring to the in-game help key bindings, the one via our website, or the one in the steam community?
if its in-game please let me know your monitor size and resolution and ill have us recreate it here and make adjustments as need, thanks for your feedback.
