Stuck in the prologue campaign
Simply, I'm stuck in the prologue : the game don't start anything after the introduction speech which have any sound for me...
The game is frozen on the 2 dudes and that's it.

Does the introduction movie play properly? Or are you only hearing the audio of the intro movie. Note when I mean movie, I mean the hand drawn animation thing of the pre-history. Not the in-game part where they're walking on a path
Hey alletor, we're sorry to hear you're having trouble with getting past the prologue! We understand this must be frustrating and would love to look into this further. Would you be able to verify the integrity of the files in Steam and then let us know if this continues to happen?

Well, I've never got the chance to have an introduction movie. I'm directly project into the campaign with the 2 knights and some subtitles which I think are made for this cinematic and then stuck (again without audio).
Before my request, i've already verified the integrity of my files.
By the way, I let you know that i'm able to play survival mode without any kind of bugs.
Just can't go throught the campain prologue.

Note that sounds like the intro movie isn't playing. Which generally means that you have some kind of movie codec problem. Depends on the game but some games just don't play the movie, or other games will just outright crash if the movie doesn't play properly.

Are you on a Windows "N" type of OS?

Do you have any 3rd party video codecs like K-Lite Codec Pack?

Als please try to reinstall vcredist and directx as well

Reinstall VCRedist

Go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2019

And re-run both the vcredist_x64.exe and the vcredist_x86.exe

Then reboot your computer

Reinstall DirectX

Go To

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010

Run DXSETUP.exe

Then reboot your comptuer

I'm having the exact same issue. I reinstaled VCRedist and DirectX and then rebooted my computer, but the problem persist. Also, i've already verified the integrity of my files.

This part is confusing because it looks like Steam is detecting your Intel GPU but the motherboard is a desktop one so you don't need to force the game to use the Nvidia GPU. This might point to your Nvidia drivers being installed in a weird way. I would expect this section to look like this which is how it appears on my system

Video Card:
Driver: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
DirectX Driver Name: nvldumd.dll
Driver Version: 32.0.15.6636
DirectX Driver Version: 32.0.15.6636
Driver Date: 12 3 2024
Desktop Color Depth: 32 bits per pixel
Monitor Refresh Rate: 60 Hz
DirectX Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

Note how the "Driver" and "Driver Date" are incorrect on your output. This is sort of confusing, since you do have the latest drivers from Nvidia 566.36

I would use DDU Uninstaller to uninstall your existing video drivers, reboot, then reinstall the latest Nvidia drivers. Note you have to reboot after uninstalling your drivers, otherwise the removal of all the underlying driver information will be incomplete.

Also I'm curious, if you try to start a Survival game do you have the same issue. The Campaign prologue plays a video, but a Survival game doesn't. I want to see if your issue is because of the video not playing or a different problem.

Hello there.

So I did what you proposed with the DDU but it didn't work as I keep getting the same error. I used Geforce Experience to update the driver after the unninstall of the video driver by DDU.

I believe the System Information I get from Steam didn't change:

Also, I started a survival game and had no issue. I know a video intro is supposed to start playng after I click on the Start Mission button from the Prologue Mission (cause i saw on a video on Youtube), but the screen keeps locked on the two dudes standing on the map and the subtitles from the introduction movie start appearing on the botton, but no movie starts. Also, theres no sound. After the subtitles stop, the game keeps locked on the two dudes and nothing happens. No matter what button I press I cant leave this screen, so I gotta use CTRL+ALT+DEL to leave the game.
