no?
then why would adding more factions do so?
we need a lot more diversity in units and such if we're ever going to have different playstyles
They already have all the assets made.
Multiplayer should not have been released in its current state and arguably the base game itself.
After the devs fix all the bugs and crashes then they can work on balance patches to address the lack of play styles.
Not really reasonable to expect that of a small indie dev team. No departments really they all would have hands in everything at this point.
They are clearly overworked trying to fix and patch all the bugs and crashes being reported daily. I make sure to always submit my crash report in hopes the devs eventually fix it.
It's the sad reality of gaming where supposed full release titles are clearly launched way too early. Most likely due to dev studios being forced to by either the publisher or personal lack of funding to continue development.
I'll give this dev studio credit for actually not jumping ship and taking in all the feedback in due course (limited dev team).
If the devs are reading this, please make your game mod compatible or let us fully customise the settings. The players and community have plenty of free time on their hands to make their own balance patches so devs can focus on fixing the base game :)
EDIT: Forgot to mention mods would mean the community can make their own DLC ;)
Also Haven't experienced crashing so far, maybe in my Horrific mode runs I'll encounter these problems.
I'd be surprised to even see this then. There's a fairly large backlog of problems AoD has suffered from, with multiple large bugs that have gone unfixed for years. But at the same time, we've seen the devs are happy to sacrifice quality and cut corners.
A large majority of the crashing is in Multiplayer right now, as it's still very unstable. Frankly I'm baffled why they pushed "1.0" with a half working Multiplayer, tons of issues that need working out in pathfinding, long standing bugs involving upgrading iron quarries into refined quarries and then the quarry stops producing iron, wood upkeep being applied when gold ticks instead of when wood ticks, bursters showing the wrong radius resulting in you losing units you shouldn't, hero's abilities having animations and doing no damage, or just flat out going on cooldown with nothing happening just to name a few large bugs that have gone unaddressed for years now.
Frankly, I wouldn't touch DLC by these Devs. Nothing about the quality of what they've put out is deserving of being paid. It would be filled to the brim with problems, bugs, and being rushed out before it's ready. Being a small dev studio does not excuse low quality gameplay. Although they've clearly bit off more then they can chew with AoD.
