Unlikely, given how the only magic source in lore is banned blood magic or dark crystal related stuff.

Voltaists technically cover both here.

alchemist type troop that throws flasks that do aoe things, like dot damage, slows, or even armor shred

That's an awesome idea I love it. Having a rebellion variants that also slows could pair really nicely with their Archer Heavy Faction
