Hi Madocato,
Thanks for the suggestion about increasing game speed in single-player mode! That’s a great idea, and I’ll be sure to pass it along to the development team for consideration.
In the meantime, have you tried Survival Custom Settings? Adjusting Malices and difficulty levels can create faster-paced and more intense gameplay. It’s a great way to experiment with the game’s mechanics while pushing yourself to the limit!
We really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Let us know if you have more feedback—we’re always listening!
If possible, not only in singleplayer, but multiplayer also. I recall the days where you can actually adjust the game speed in strategy games (Starcraft? Command and Conquer?). A slider would be very helpful.
Hey madocato,
That's another great point! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on how a speed slider could add another dimension to the gameplay. We're always looking for ways to improve the experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestions with us.
Once you start moving the difficulty up the game speed is already really fast, you need to absolutely be spending your resources at an ideal rate while constantly microing your army.
You would find the game unplayable at a faster speed, if you find it too slow turn your difficulty up.
Building, research, movement speed are painfully slow in the campaign. Most, if not all RTS have a speed option, often even variable ingame (usually -/+ on the numpad).
I just tried the speedhack option with CE. I got at best a 1,5 multi working and it already feels much smoother. Albeit making the game unstable (breaks loading saves until disabled and can potentially crash the game).
