Is there Multiplayer?

Yes. Co-Op Multiplayer was officially added to the game alongside the 1.0 release.

For the best multiplayer experience we recommend playing with friends within the same region.

Is there Steam workshop support or a Map Editor planned?

As much as we would love to provide Steam workshop support, there are currently no plans for mod support or a map editor. This is something we'd look to reassess in the future, but for now, our focus has been on delivering a polished core Survival experience, delivering on co-op Multiplayer and releasing 1.0.

What are some inspirations for Age of Darkness: Final Stand?

We're all gamers at PlaySide who've brought our individual tastes and loves to the game. As RTS players our love of titles such as Age of Empires II, Warcraft 3, Northgard, Starcraft II and other MOBAs as a part of the inspiration for Age of Darkness. Of course, fantasy staples such as Lord of the Rings & Game of Thrones are constantly on repeat throughout the office and act as a huge inspiration!

Where’s the best place to get direct support?

If you create a Steam discussion, or post on our social media we will absolutely respond and provide assistance.

However, the most reliable and fastest way to get help from either the devs, or our incredibly knowledgeable community is by posting in the Player Support Discord Channel.[discord.com]

How might Steam Maintenance impact my game?

There are currently a few known issues that are a result of a Weekly Steam Maintenance. These problems are most likely to occur on Tuesday, 8:20-8:40pm EST.

Some of these issues are:

• Being unable to find a selected save file
  
• Losing connection to the Server
  
• Being unable to Create a Session

Most of these issues resolves themselves after 10-20 minutes, depending on the Steam update and your region.

However, if players are still experiencing issues we suggest:

• Restarting Steam
  
• Verifying the Game Files
  
• Message the Player Support Discord Channel[discord.com] for direct dev support

Why am I having Multiplayer save Issues?

Our Co-op Multiplayer save system utilises the Steam Cloud, which is the source of the problem. Some options are:

• Try restarting the game and waiting a while until the game synchronises with the Steam Cloud
  
• Try clearing your Steam cloud storage as it may be full
  
• Try deleting any old AOD Multiplayer saves to re-enable the latest save.

Why am I unable to connect to multiplayer game?

If you are experiencing issues when joining Multiplayer games, please head to your Steam Settings, the Downloads Tab and select the same Download Region as the player you are joining.

This is a temporary workaround and we are working hard on an alternative.

Please keep in mind that playing with players from different regions will impact the game play experience and we recommend playing with a friend closer to you.

I believe the community is looking for some assurance, that the Age of Darkness team is still active, and focusing their efforts on any existing bugs. From your perspective, you're probably really busy, but from ours, it's very quiet.

Is there a chance that 4 player coop will be a thing?

Fix cross-region multiplayer. Games can not connect when West coast and East Coast US players try to play together.

Hi. Co-op still doesn't work :( We play in Czech and we both have the same region. Please fix it!
