Na its not impossible, but a little bit hard.
Try to clean the map, save all 4 villages and build a big army and when the wave start, only save the two entrance, north and east in the base.
Use the AoE and explosive Spell from your hero in the wave to kill a lot of enemies, at least you have to kill 1500 and not the complete wave.

Good luck :)

How do you deal with the big ass guy?

Wit the Iron you get, build some arbalest and focus all range unit(Tower too) on strongest enemies and then 3 lines of walls.
Was enough for me

I just finished it recently get eco up as alway you can fully clear the map and save all 4 villages with about 7 minutes left.Make sure to use Edwin skills especially crackfire.

Do not forget to grab the 3-4 iron early as you will need it.

Crusher is tier 2 version I actually face tanked all 3 spots thenightmares will come from the hardest one is the crusher one that will need arbalest in tower.

I killed the crusher around 1000 nightmares dead but that defence line got too much damaged and could not hold still it broke at around 1400 dead other 2 spot got 100 kills then I started to retreat.

One spot can also be held by melee and triage center.

The third spot can have mass archers in towers good idea to have few tier 2 walls.

If you get triage center do not forget you can refund them for 100% if at full hp so you can move it around it can restore some casualties then delete and move it forward.

Make sure all tower units are on high priority and even then you can manually focus fire crusher.

Good idea to pause if you defence with melee too in 1 spot as you need to"dodge bursters".

Overall this mission seems to be around"veteran" survival difficulty.

Don't bother the the elite mob in the top left corner of map. You don't seem to get anything from killing it.

1. Run through and get all four camps with Edwin and your starting army units asap. Pause the game to let him tank during tough situations while you heal your other injured units away from the action. Don't bother sending Edwin any additional troops (I don't think I ended up training more than 10 additional troops or less). Spend all spare gold and wood on at least 3 stone walls and ballistas (if you start with the rightmost camp you can start building ballistas pretty soon in the level). After the final wave spawns, you can add cheap wood walls for additional defense.

1b: The second you clear a spot with stone on it, pause the game and build a stone camp. Stone is how you will beat this level (walls + ballistas).

2. The nightmares only enter through two points for me; the center and the right. I built 3 stone wall rows each there; two more wood walls for 5 total with 4 ballistas behind each (8-9 total ballistas). Remember that you only need to kill 1500 units; you cant hold the whole wave, I think. And Keep Edwin alive! Run him away from the keep before it falls...

3. From the village rewards, I got the ballista, the farm, the upgraded defense tower, and I forget what else. The ballistas will save your ass; there isn't enough iron in the map for the elite archers IMO.

Good luck

Mission five was a rather large jump in difficulty. I tried for about 4hrs, but strangely enough I completed it with only 2 villages captured, the two giving triage/pop and the sentinel/braced tower. I took braced tower for arbalests but spaced and failed the mission the village gives u and never got the village up north until last two minutes to build in the trees.

Build in the center, just south of the iron claw camp in the choke and spam walls of both tiers, build at least 12 towers with arches, and have the hero on the right side of the map on the alley beside the mountain. put him there with 4 arches, some swordsman and all the spear man u find on the map, you won't need to build more unless u loss them.

Once the first wave is completed take Edwin to go 1v1 the crusher, but to do this he has to get lvl 6 at least at the start of the fight or he will not be able to do it. juggle him between the horde and safety and dodge spitter attacks. Then send all remaining forces once certain of the crushers death to the towers/edwin to the west to help with the canyon before it falls, all you need is tier 1 gate to hold it with a mass of swordsman and the 4 spear man u find.

To fuel all this never stop expanding and just spam food huts and the houses everywhere, never build more than 2 barracks and build units with free resources.

Interesting challenge, but once the crusher is dead just have edwin run to the bottom of the map for an ez win afterwards.

U could also try to kill the elite bosses if u manage to get ballista/arbalest but I haven't tried yet :)

Yeah, the difficulty spike here is enormous. It goes from almost casual to hard-mode survival but with a crippled tech tree and no way to predict where the horde is coming from. The balance could use some work.
