recommendation for a game similar to this

ok so I love the gameplay of this game but does anybody know of a game with the same base defense RTS gameplay this has but set in a modern world post apoc setting with zombies and different types of infected as enemies instead of fantasy medieval style?

Sure thing. Search for "My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic".

Pretty sure there's not much to choose from if you want a sci-fi game similar.

There's an upcoming Starship Troopers game, but don't think it's out yet.

You could try some Starcraft 1/2 Custom Maps/Mods pretty sure there are a bunch of Tower Defense-esque custom maps that are similar.

Your best bet are similar Medieval games, like "They are Billions" and "The Last Spell" the 2nd being turn based instead of RTS.

meh Im not much into fantasy medieval setting thats why I was asking

I forget the name of it, but some Chinese studio is doing a much more direct clone of They Are Billions + heroes/factions. Problem is it's Anime style Sci-Fi + alien hordes. Which isn't what you're looking for either.

Closest you'll get is one Wings of Liberty mission in StarCraft 2, which is quite fun honestly. Very limited, not exactly complex or difficult, but still fun.

Yeah, Alien Marauder, that was it. I ran the play test on easy and it lacked personality. People who say AoD is a clone of TAB should see that game, because Alien Marauder is TAB with something like mobile RTS aesthetics.
