Friend's pass cannot be downloaded?

Hi,

Is it just me or the friend's pass cannot be downloaded on steam, or anywhere else?

There is always a steam error:

I know there are 2 friends passes, but none of them work.
Any ideas what might cause this? Is it still available?

Really? Can you please answer to some questions?

Do you own the game or you get only the friend's pass?
Which one do you download out of the two? (there are 2 friend passes, one which can be reached from the game's store page, and one which the steam search shows)

Ah, so you have it in your library already?
I believe the issue happens if you try to add it, not for installing it.
If you had it in your library already, then I guess it works. My issue is that, we can't add it to the library at all due to this error message.

Did you somehow resolve the situation? The exact same message appears when I try to download friend pass

Yes and no.

Seems like the only way I managed to make the game appear in my friend's library was to get his account credentials, log in on my PC (where the game was installed already by me as I own the game), and start the game like that.
For some reason the game appeared in his library after I logged in on my PC and booted the game. It was a friend's pass version of the game.

Then I logged out, he logged in and it was in his library after that.

Thank you very much for your answer, perhaps I didn’t understand you quite correctly. Because I (having a license) tried to download friend pass and it just loads me into the license; friend pass doesn’t want to add it to the library.

same problem for me , I already installed it last time , then uninstalled it, and I want to play again but when i tried to download same error appeared

Let me try to explain it a bit better.

1. I own the game and I have it installed on my PC.
2. My friend cannot download the friend's pass (any of the two) due to the error.
3. I get his account credentials and I log into HIS account on MY PC.
4. I try to add the friend's pass. I get the same error on HIS account... But it appears in his library "It takes two". I launch it and the Friend's pass version is launched.
5. I quit the game and log out from his account.
6. He logs back into his account and the game is now in his library that he can download just fine.

The friend's pass I tried to use is the one which is on the game's store page.
There is no other way I managed to make it work for my friend. I needed to log into his account from my PC where the game was installed.

I will also note for those who have a demo game added to their account: You need to delete it from your account completely on the sitehttps://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/ or through technical support
