Two PC's — Two keyboards
Is it possible to play this game on two PC's when none of the playes has a gamepad?

yes you can. on second pc you dont even have to own the game. just get the friends pass.

If you search the steam store, you'd realise there are 2 versions of the game.
the 2nd player just needs to download "It Takes Two Friend's Pass" (which is free to download).

after adding each other on the EA profiles etc.. just create an online lobby and invite the person who is using the friend pass into your game session to play.
