The friends pass?

Hello I have the friend pass I can install in my library but Idk where I got it from. Does this mean I have the full game or is it a demo?
Can I use it to play local coop?

The "friend's pass" is free on Steam.
But, "free" with a caveat - you need a player who bought the game (the "full" version) to be able to play.

I had a question related to this as well, do I need to buy the game and my long distance partner can download from the friend's pass and if I buy the game they can play it online with me with only one copy bought?

Edit: I want to play online coop and not remote play, thanks!

Yes, "friend's pass" type of games here on Steam offer exactly that.
It's basically a free copy of the game, but to play it - one of you need a purchased one.
So, you can buy the game, and the other fella can use the friend's pass - or vice versa.

Just be aware of one note, this game (its friend's pass) exists in two versions - an old one, and a new one. The old one (atm) supports EA invites only, and the new one supports both Steam and EA invites.
So, the other fella will need the new one, as the lobby invite in the old one might not work.
If that happens - use the EA invites.
