Invited Friend Problem

We're having an issue playing the game and I hope someone can give me input. My friend and I are trying to play. I have the full game, she has the friend pass version. I go into play online, send her an invite and she accepts. It will then launch the game for her but never brings her to the lobby where we start the game together. It keeps her at the main title screen.

If she already has the game open when I invite her, she never gets the invite. She has to have the game closed to get the invite. The invite will launch the game.

We have also tried playing locally and using the Stream "Play Together" feature or whatever they call it but that never works neither.

Any thoughts? Ive been able to play this game before with several people with no issues. This is the first time having connect issues.

I am doing that. We are both friends on the EA app AND on Steam. Thats how I am inviting her. The EA App.
