HELP PLEASE... It takes Two online on 2 Steam Decks... Is it possible???

Does anyone know if it is possible to play It Takes Two online with 2 Steam Decks (Linux)? A Steam friend of me and I have tried it so many times, but we always end up with the same failure.

We invite each other through Steam and at first it seems to work, but then we have to press A for starting the game together, but after that we get the message:

Please Hold...
Input is temperrally disabled while the host is busy.

It doesn´t matter if I invite him or he me, the result is the same.

We have disabled the EA overlay, we have tried many different Proton versions, also with no result. If anyone knows a solution, many many many thanks in advance! Or when it isn´t possible, then we know we can stop googling, trying to make it work.

It seems to be working from posts on proton.db. I know for a fact that split screen is working perfectly on linux. I have not used it on a steamdeck.

I have checked the Proton.db, but that´s all played on local co-op. We are trying to play it online, since my Steam friend lives in Belgium and I in the Netherlands.

I'm having the same issue using remote play. Invited player is always stuck without a screen because I'm busy. I think it might have to do with the EA launcher running in proton as well 😢
