It Takes Two Friend Pass Issue

Hi,

I downloaded It Takes Two to play with my partner and they're having an issue with getting the friend pass. When attempting to download the game they receive an error saying that they are using an "invalid platform". And although the game never downloaded, Steam says it is in their library when it's not. I tried searching for the friend pass myself and Steam also says it's in my library when I downloaded the full game, never the friend pass. I had them make an origin account as well and they can't search for the friend pass there.

I tried to invite them in game. However, when I click the Friend Pass option nothing happens. I just get told "A friend pass is available" with the option to "learn more" or "continue". When I click continue, nothing happens. I've searched different forums and on reddit and literally can't find anyone experiencing a similar issue. Any help would be great.

Hi, there's a couple things you can try.

First off, Check your friends system requirements! This error could be because their computer cannot support It Takes Two.
If that's not the problem , try removing steam from the equation. Tell your friend to download origin and they can get the friends pass through there.

If none of this works, Research Parsec as a third option. This is a Service that will allow you and your friend to play It Takes Two , and many other games together in couch - co-op mode no matter how far away you are. It's pretty easy to set up, Feel free to do your own research on Parsec.

Omg thank you so much! After all this time it turns out that their computer just can't run it. Do you think researching Parsec would help even if their system can't run it? I appreciate the help <3

Hi, I'm so glad I could be of help!

As long as your friend can run parsec and you can run the game it should be perfectly fine. Because technically, they will be using your computer. There may be a bit of stutters here and there, but when I use parsec with my boyfriend in as far as Argentina the connection works almost flawlessly!
