Stuck at loading screen and rotating book

Hi, I saw that there were some older posts about that but I tried everything and game is still not working. My laptop meets all requirements, I play games on it everyday, but when I try to open the game there is an animated logo and screen goes black and loads with a book rotating in the corner. Games looks stuck. I tried to wait it out to, idk, load (maybe it needs a time to load) but nothing changes. I reinstalled, I cleared some space, I closed everything else I was doing - nothing helps. :(

My girlfriend and I have been having this issue as well. No fixes that I am aware of at the moment. If you have another hard drive in your PC, try that and see what happens.
For us the first launch was a little slow (like 15 minutes), but eventually it was clear we could play together. But we had company that night so there was not really any time for us to play, we closed the app. My app opens super fast! (Its on an SSD), but hers just sits at the loading screen endlessly now. Its a real bummer, we have restarted and re installed but nothing. Done a time of research and nothing so far. Keep looking and DM me if you find a fix! ;) I will post if I find.

Yeah... seems like lots of people still have this problem. Do developers gave any info about that? Tried to help/fix? I'm really lost...

I have the same problem.

All games work perfect for me, I meet the requirements.
I have never played the game, it is the first time I open it and the same thing happens.
I have tried to repair, reinstall, update drivers etc and nothing worked.

Would be nice if creators gave any official comment about such situation, the problem seems to be since almost the beginning. :|

Same problem here. But i was already able to play the game yesterday. I wanted to continue but now it is stuck at the loading screen

Same problem here. But i was already able to play the game yesterday. I wanted to continue but now it is stuck at the loading screen

It's been more than a month and I still didn't get any reply from creators and Steam doesn't want to return money for it now... :|

This issue's been going on since launch, unfortunately. My PC runs it just fine, whereas my fiance's gets the endless loading loop now.

Worked fine for the first two times we played the game, but suddenly started happening out of the blue for her. Reinstalled, installed on a SSD - with no avail. Her PC's a bit older, but her CPU handled the game just fine when she was able to play.

anyone solved this issue? It loads fine on my computer however my girlfriend has the black loading screen. We uninstalled and reinstalled the game, tried the -windowed -noborder thing someone else recommended. No fixes so far

Update: recently upgraded my fiance's CPU to an AMD FX-9k series, and the game loads properly for her now. I think this game's just brutal on older processors, as nothing else was changed.

My problem was fixed after... buying new PC. :,) My laptop was not bad at all but obviously my graphic card was not enough for this game (since my CPU was similar to the one I have now). I guess the recuirements for the game should be changed by the creators.

Even if it put a hole in your pocket, I'm glad you're able to play the game finally! It's extremely fun with significant others :)

Ive never gotten this issue it might be something to do with ea play or origin

I agree! I was so angry that it wasn't working because I heard lots of good thing about this game and I was also very dissapointed (still am tbh) with the creators. When I was looking for an answer to this issue I found lots of topics around the internet with exactly the same problem. And no official reply to it.

But yes the game is really worth the money and it was amazing journey! :)

The fix is simple! Open task manager while the game is running go to details, and change priority to realtime or high and that should fix it. Fixed it for me instantly while I still had the game running.
