Basically, if both players only have the friends pass, it acts as some kind of demo letting you play the first level together. That said, if one of you bought the game, the other player can use that Friends Pass to join his full version, letting both of you play the ENTIRE game together. And yes, you download the entire game even with the Friends Pass.
That’s what was a bit misleading to me, a picture with friends pass on the top and then top left hand corner it said Demo, to me that stated that if only one brought the game the Co-op would last a few levels or whatever, unless both brought the game fully. As I said don’t judge me please as not everyone is into all this multiplayer as others can be lol.
I can’t say whether this game is worth the price it is as haven’t played it yet but could it be worth it? Each has their own thoughts on it.
Anyways, thanks for your help, as the others also lol.
1. Steam remote play: Only one person needs to have the game installed. The second player can be invited to play remotely in local mode. It's more like watching a stream which accepts your keyboard/controller inputs. The stream quality may drop depending on your connection/server. The good point from this is that the game is running on the game owner laptop/computer so your device specs don't matter.
2. Through Origin: This method depends on your device hardware where you have control over the graphics of the game and other settings. It also has less latency. The second player will need to download the friend's pass which is a full copy of the game. You will need an invite through origin to join the game owner room and benefit from the full game content. Otherwise, it will appear as a demo with 1 chapter I guess.
You can download Friend's Pass on Steam as well, which obviously requires Origin, but don't misrepresent it. You can download it on Steam.
Thank you for posting the details on the remote play, this is exactly what I was looking for :)
