Been troubleshooting it for almost an hour. No joy...
The only way I made it work was running steam as administrator. I hope this helps others that may face the same issue
If running steam as admin didn't work, try the following:
Reboot your PC
Uninstall Origin ( You need to find the folders manually and remove them all)
Reboot again
Run Steam as admin
That worked for me. The boring part was finding Origin's folders, there are like 3 folders in different places (I had origin previously installed and Steam installs a thin version of Origin as well). I think these don't work well together so uninstalling was necessary for me.
1) Open Steam
1) Go to your Steam Library
2) Right-Click It "Takes Two"
3) Go to Properties > Local Files
4) Click the "Verify Integrity Of Game Files" button
5) Wait for the process to finish and once it does look for a text string below the button, informing you of how it went (When it finished for me it said "20 files failed to validate and will be reacquired")
5) Try launching the game again and it should hopefully work for you too!
For example your steam files in "C" disc but you also use "D" disc for storage your games. Go to setting - dowload - library folder and select game and move original disc folder
