Please patch the split screen for online. give us the option
please give us that accessibility option. I know its for the gameplay but online there really should be an option. I want to enjoy this game so badly but I get motion sick easily and I cant enjoy the game. It seems fantastic but I cant handle the camera disposition of both sides.

Yea, please give everyone the option to turn split screen off. I never look at what my friend is doing as our communication is enough :)

I understand where you guys are coming from, but I played "A Way Out" all the way through with a friend, online, and the game is no longer the same game if there is no splitscreen.

Not only does it make the communication with your friend way more relatable, because at all times you can just look to the side of the screen and check what they're doing...

But more importantly, it serves narrative purpose. I haven't played "It Takes Two", yet - but in "A Way Out", there were many moments when each of us was doing something entirely different and the bond between the characters was implicity transfered to real life as a bond between me and my friend.

And finally, splitscreen is an ultimate puzzle piece for how they structured gameplay to FEEL for the player. In "A Way Out" there is a segment that I remember vividly strictly because of the STARK CONTRAST when there was no splitscreen and I couldn't do anything, the entire screen was my friend, and it swapped between me and my friend during that segment, and it was an action piece, and the camera movement was insane, and it was such a blast despite me not being able to move half the time (and vice versa my friend not being able to move while I do things). Both of us enjoyed that part 10x as much because it felt like you jumped off a tall building, a free-falling experience, knowing you're going to land soon... back to splitscreen. Very interesting game design. Splitscreen is KEY to this experience.
Split screen sucks, it should be optional and activated with hotkey

This. Plus I don't even notice there is second screen, because I am so much immersed in the game.

You know what would actually be nice... a picture in picture type thing... so my game is full screen and then a resizable/moveable view of what my friend is doing would be epic

plz kthx :)

That’s great an all but my issue is being motion sick not the content or puzzles. I absolutely understand the gameplay and why it’s “necessary” but it’s like just asking a driver to slow down so the people in the car don’t get sick. Just wish they would patch it to be more accessible in a way to those who get sick easily :)

Yeah, but then you're no longer playing the same game.

It's like playing a shooter with aim bot accessibility option for people who can't aim for some reason. At that point it's no longer the same game, sure you're playing it but it's not nearly as fun, and giving you this option is definitely going to cost the developer some development resources. So it's them putting in time and money to make their game less like what they intended for people with accessibility issues. It's a tough call to make as a developer and I personally lean towards not doing it unless I have an overabundance of money to just pay for the accessibility options, which may not even pay for themselves.

Again, I empathize with you but I just see it from both perspectives and it's not as easy as "just do it". Some people might turn off split screen even if they can comfortably play with it, and then your players potentially miss out on the REAL experience you wanted them to get. Sometimes not giving an option to players saves the players from themselves.

im sorry me being motion sick and unable to enjoy the game isnt okay with you. i dont care about any of the stuff you are saying but i appreciate you trying to educate me on why the game must be this way and is of course to you the correct thing to do. to me it makes the game unplayable and thats all that matters to me lmfao

There are hundreds of thousands of games you can play, though. Find some that don't make you motion sick? This one is specifically by design a split screen, same like their last game which was A WAY OUT. Making this game into something it is not would just devalue the experience. I know you don't care but it is what it is.

I'm sure they had exactly the same complaints few years ago with A WAY OUT which was split screen too. Therefore you already got your answer. They don't want to change that, or they would by now.
sadly

I understand it makes you motion sick, but this is kind of like looking at Wind Waker and going 'Please remove the cel-shaded graphics'.
Or looking at Overwatch or Doom and saying "FPS games make me motion sick. Can you add a third-person option?"

I can't micro-manage in an RTS, but I don't ask them to make the game slower simply because I can't keep up.
I can't remember combo strings in fighting games, but I don't ask for 1-button combo strings to make it accessable to me.

This is what they chose for the game. If you can't play it, you can't play it. I can't play RTS's and I suck at fighting games. So I just shrug when a new one comes out.
