If the game owner invites the second player through "steam remote play together", then the other person doesn't need to download the game or have a decent PC.

Parsec is an option.

Works better than steam's remote play together.

My girlfriend used it play with her friend who doesn't have a gaming computer and it works so perfectly no lag at all.

That's right yeah you can't play this game non split screen.
