I haven't faced that problem but I would suggest one of the followings:

  • In steam, open the game "Properties" > "Local Files" > "Verify integrity of game files ...".
  • Run the game as administrator. You can find the game files easily from steam. open the game "Properties" > "Local Files" > "Browse". Then open this directory: "Nuts\Binaries\Win64\ItTakesTwo.exe".
  • Check if you have any driver and windows updates.
  • Try reinstalling Visual C++ Redistributable Software. Just head to "Control Panel" > "Program & Features". You will probably see 2010 and 2015-2019 versions.
  • Move the game to another drive maybe (such as C:\ drive)
