How to review clues?
In my book is a list of all the clues I've found, but I can't figure out how to actually see what the clue was. Is there a way to review all the clues you've gathered?

The game doesn't really expect me to run all over the map constantly to be able to actually see the clues again does it?

I write down things that I think it important.

Yeah, I found this a somewhat frustrating design as well. You basically have to keep your own out-of-game journal if you don't want to backtrack constantly between clues. On the one hand, it does fit the romantic mood of the game, having to maintain your own handwritten notes. On the other hand, it takes some of the flow out of the puzzle solving.

Just use Steam to make screenshots, you don't need to write anything down.

But if I write down I can read it while playing without minimize the game for looking for the screenshots

I absolute agree....a readable journal with all the collected hints and documents would be great

I played on game pass and just went back and visited the room with the clue again. The clues tell you what room they are in. It probably added some to my playtime.

But yeah, it seems like a missed opportunity to not let you review the clues from the journal.

You can use steam overlay (shift+tab) to see your screenshots in game. Also the steam overlay has a notes section where you can write things down

it would be great if there is a separate book storing photograghs of the clues (unless there are audio clues in the game)
but i am not sure if it fit or not the theme/time period

Well, we know she has access to a camera, so I don't see a thematic issue with it.
This seems like an intentional omission by the developers, who also chose to not add a run button (this was really annoying for me, coming to this game after The Talos Principle 2).

The game uses standard "Run" controls (keep Shift key pressed), and you even can set it to a toggle function (press Shift once to keep running). At least on PC, I can't speak for other platforms. It would be odd, though, to implement such a feature on PC and not elsewhere.

On Xbox you can go to 'Options' to set a 'Sprint Toggle' under 'Accessibility', then when in game tap LB one time to activate.
