I'm not sure what you mean by cocoon gore?
When you click "hatch" on a hanging cocoon, it starts leaking a green liquid for a second or two, then the dog falls out, with the open cocoon following straight after. The liquid is a single colour, and very flat looking compared to the world. Not very detailed.
The liquid puddle can be cleaned up by holding left click on them. This will "pull out a hair drier" and dry the puddle. Dogs will play in the puddles, get wet themselves, and then make more puddles. They'll drip dry soon enough and I'd be surprised if anyone struggled with managing the puddle problem.
and in regard to the topic title ,i'm sure she knows everyone has one, right? ;)
Butt honestly, I didn't even realise the game had drawn little "x" doggo hot dog holes until I saw this thread. IMO you might be overthinking it but you're the parent not me.
but rly you're being wayyyyyyyyyyyy too over protective and it's to no ones benefit.
I think the dev said he would never disable dog bungholes because it would be inhumane.
Just let the girl play with the dogs :<
also I hope she at least knows how to say thank you when people try help her out because it appears that some don't. ;)
edit: OH wait is this thread because... you possibly dress up as an anthropomorphic creature sometimes?
Oh wait.
How's that for an 'oh wait' for you?
also, exploding dog corpes? the fk you scared shes gonna do, get some dynamite, tie it to an elderly dog, and blow it up?
as for cocoon gore, huh. what? its some green slime that looks incredibly barren for it to be in the game. whats she gonna do with that?
but to answer your question, no, theres no way to disable it. this is the game, soz.
If she is going to play on your account, you may want to change it since she might click on the "cute mouse picture" etc etc yaddy ya. You get what I'm saying, I'm just pointing out the possibility in case you hadn't thought of it.
I guess one other option - Buy the game, turn off death, and then copy dog codes people have shared. Go for ones with big tails. I'm not 100% if the tail replaces or just covers their little hot cross buns but you should be happy.
However, if she clicked on the egg icon in the top left on the screen, and then chose two adult dogs, she would run the breeding simulation which would spawn a few dogs in a "virtual area" and there's a possibility that one or more of those dogs would spawn without a tail.
Games that aren't dog related but may be safe for kids in yours eyes - I guess look up "a short hike", the frog detective series, and cats in time. Maybe they'll pass your grading and be fun for her. Eastshade might be a little "complex" for her but I don't believe it had dying in it or scary themes.
Or just relax and let her play with the doggos bruv ;)
Clearly you know best and don't want help so I'll let this thread die
Stay safe buddy, there are a lot of buttholes in this world ;)
now, for exploding dog corpses, go into the settings, click options, then click gameplay settings. there you can disable dog death. I have dog death turned off as well and it fully eliminates the dogs exploding. however, you can only have ten dogs in the pen at once. when her pen is full but she wants some more dogs, click on a dog to store it. there she can still breed the dogs and take them out when needed. hope that solves the death problem.
Now, for cocoon "gore".. I assume you mean the green liquid coming out of the cocoons when the dogs hatch? Unfortunately, there's no way to disable it. You have two options in this case:
A) tolerate the cocoon liquid.
B) before the dogs pupate, put them in a corner where they are out of view. then, click hatch and pan away from the cocoon to shield your daughter's eyes.
I hope this helps!
