Also I didn't heard They released any new anti-cheat solution for now, I heard They are working on something. So what are Your sources of that "big lie"? If You can share, I would appreciate...
Also I would prefer some reliable resource not some youtube chanel farming drama for views on his videos.
I quickly googled it for you, so here is the first result: https://www.polygon.com/news/457527/deadlock-valve-cheating-frog-system
Here a dev talks about the "new anti-cheat" which was designed for CS but never got implemented: https://x.com/sptonjohn/status/1839477885582905651
I say it's a "big lie" because, apart from some marketing material, nobody saw this "anti-cheat" in action, while people are reporting massive cheater numbers in the game. And they go and play without punishment/ban.
Sad to hear that YT channels that are invested deeply in Deadlock are not good enough for you.
Not sure, what else you would consider reliable resoruces... Do you know that in the 21th century the most reliable news medias are Twitter/X, podcasts and Youtube?
I also linked an article for you, in case you prefer the old style.
First one "Polygon"?
Really, I asked for some source that doesn' t wannt to farm viewers, If They aren't one doing just that, then I'm Mikey Mouse.
They write literally about everything, just do to do it ASAP, be fastest and get sweet numbers up.
Second one is X post from "so he said" Dev working on VAC long ago..
But then I have opened his profil and first thing I see, "I didn't work at Valve or CS" in his small profile describtion? So He did worked on VAC or didn't, I really can't say, how do You know that, do You know him in person? I can't say its reliable source.
Also You say They "lie" because They used some marketing material? Where are those? I didn't saw Valve or game developers posting anything about that sill frog thing, or anything more beside this: "We are currently working on some cheating anti measures" in some game dev update notes, thats all. Nothing less, nothing more... Where is all that marketing material, If one line of text is marketing material, then wow.
Last one, about 21th century and all that realiable resources talk from You.
If You realy think social media or any media, gives You anything but 100% accurate data, then You must be either very honest or blind...
Todays media, and I mean like litteraly all of them are all about who is "fastest delivery guy".
They don't confirm, If that information You are "fed" is true or false, They just push it out ASAP to get some viewership, ad revenue, etc. They don't care about being at least sure it somehow accurate data.
So Yeah, I may be old school but I don't believe media, I prefer take multiple source data, compare them and make assumption myself... Its also not 100% accurate but atl least somehow close. Also I belive You are missplacing term of "most reliable resorurces" for "easiest to find", in 21th century its easy to do.
Please tell me what kind of sources do you trust. Teach us master.
(besides the video in OP with cheating. One example isn't really an "epidemic" and it's not like you can prevent all cheating even with dedicated moderators or anti-cheats.)
Btw i'm not defending Deadlock here, it's just i've never seen anyone that was definitely cheating like in OP's video in my own personal experience, and people exaggerate or cherry pick one example.
Same happens in MTGA, i've yet to personally see a hacker yet people claim they are "everywhere." *shrug* Maybe they are unlucky.
That sounds like skill issue tbh
It being "closed" public alpha is a blessing and a curse.
Yeah but it allows them to crack down on it earlier instead of opening the game and having it bombarded with negative reviews about cheaters.
CS is out there for more than 10 years and they didn't manage to crack down on the cheaters. Thinking that they only gathering infos and this way it's going to be easier to deal with them is insane amount of cope.
Nonetheless have fun with the game.
Yeah because it's impossible to get rid of all cheaters, the best you can do is find and ban them.
Plus i'm pretty sure alot of these "cheaters" are just people with good aim tbh.
- game journous lying as usual
- valve tryin to look good with these pr stunts instead of actually dishing out real bans
