His hook is already an insane skill that can effectively kill any player instantly by pulling them out of position. It's fast with no warning/wind-up. It's even better than Paradox's ult, because while 'paradoxical swap' has some damaging lifesteal, you're likely going to end up where the rest of enemy team was... effectively trading a kill for your own death anyway.
Hyper beam can do upwards of 1000 piercing+slowing dps which can also do full lifesteal. Uppercut does splash damage and further throws players out of position (but you can aim it). Sticky bomb on its own can disarm for several seconds. Bebop starts with bullet resist and gains more every level.
In summary, Bebop is a hero with rapid cooldowns that can:
Pull enemies out of a position.
Push enemies into a position.
Do insane burst damage to an entire area without damage falloff.
Lifesteal in a piercing/slowing beam at incredible DPS.
Debuff heroes and tank bullet damage.
Oh... and his default attack is a hitscan laser with 66 starting ammo (making early soul denial easy.)
IMO, Bebop's kit is insane and needs nerfed. If you can land hooks, you can insta-kill heroes with more-or-less no hard counter.
I can tell you play in higher MMR lobbies than these guys lol. A good Bebop right now is insane.
When you get your third ability point at 2200 souls, you'll be able to do your hook+punch+uppercut+bomb combo. If you've purchased 'spirit strike', 'mystic burst', 'extra spirit', and 'melee lifesteal', you're looking at a combo that deals 564 damage within the first few minutes of the game. That's before any gun damage AND assuming that's the first time you've used the sticky bomb ability. Oh, and you're going to heal 107 HP performing it with the punch.
Not to mention there's an extra 92 splash damage and fire-rate slow for 5 seconds wherever you punch them to.... And that's on top of displacing their position horribly... so punching them toward your guardian or an ally is just insult to injury. Also, every time you do it the damage increases... making you more likely to insta-kill at the start... getting you more souls... getting you more ability points, getting you more items, further increasing your damage potential.
It's nuts.
